Ablaze Collective was born from the frustration Jessica Kentch, one of our founding partners, faced during her decade of leading business development for enterprise CPA firms. With the growth of cloud accounting, Jessica struggled to provide firms with the management reports they needed because standard user interfaces (UIs) were built for individual businesses, not firms managing hundreds of clients. As firms sought better data and insights, accessing that data became nearly impossible without custom applications. It may seem counterintuitive that firms need an app to mine their own data, but it's essential for unlocking the deeper insights hidden behind the UI.

Existing reporting apps promised 'plug-and-play' dashboards but failed to deliver for CPA firms needing consolidated reports across hundreds of clients in diverse industries. These apps often imposed their own definitions of 'financial health,' focusing on what worked for individual businesses rather than the unique needs of CPA firms. Instead of collaborating with CPAs to identify the key financial indicators that matter to their practices, many apps fell short. Firms often purchase hundreds of licenses, only to cancel after tax season due to high costs and limited value. We knew there had to be a cheaper, faster, and more tailored solution for better reporting.

Accessing every API endpoint was a complex and expensive task, with traditional monolithic architectures costing over $200,000 USD. These methods were slow, inefficient, and out of reach for most firms. Everything changed with the discovery of atomic computing architecture. This breakthrough made API calls that used to take months happen in seconds, offering a faster, more efficient, and scalable solution—accessible to firms of all sizes, not just the Big 4.

One of our most powerful capabilities is mining 'hidden' data from Quickbooks APIs that aren’t visible in the Quickbooks user interface (UI). This data is invaluable for CPA firms, enabling deeper queries and insights crucial for managing client portfolios and driving business growth. By accessing this 'hidden' data, we offer reporting capabilities that were previously available only to the largest national firms.

Our backend mines every Quickbooks API endpoint, delivering valuable insights from your books and your clients’ books in seconds. While we don’t have an elaborate front-end UI yet, we plan to launch one within the year, with input from our community.
